- I make art for fun and self-expression. I work in monotypes/monoprints, collage and painting, most recently small works on paper. I find the serendipity of printmaking, the order-from-chaos nature of collage, and the free-form, unfettered nature of abstraction both challenging and satisfying. In addition, I occasionally explore the self-portrait. Once I got over the discomfort of looking closely at my own image, I came to enjoy the process, and find wonder in the range of characters that emerge.

Wow Cathy I am blown away.........I love all your work but my favorite by far are these ink/paper pieces, and this one particularly I just love! You are extremely talented!! Do you show your art somewhere?? (If you do I'm going to kick my niece for not telling me!) Wow! Thank you so much for linking to me!! You are so kind, Belle! I've only shown once, at an event that happens every October in New Haven. It's friendly to amateur artists like me. I plan on participating in the next student show where I take classes, probably next year. Actually, I have been kind of shy about it and your encouragement is terrific! See you soon again, I hope!
